Clerk of the Privy Council (United Kingdom)
The Clerk of the Privy Council is a civil servant in the government of the United Kingdom. He or she is the most senior civil servant in the Privy Council Office.
The office is less powerful than its Canadian equivalent; unlike the Canadian Clerk of the Privy Council, the British Clerk is not the ex officio head of the Civil Service (these functions are performed by a separate Cabinet Secretary).[1]
